How to install the StarkBet app on Android

  2. Open the APK

    Tap the download notification, or open Files › Downloads and tap StarkBet.apk. Android's package installer launches.

  3. Allow this source

    A prompt says your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source. Tap Settings, enable Allow from this source for Chrome (or your browser), then press Back.

  4. Tap Install

    Review the permissions (Internet and notifications only) and tap Install. Installation takes 10 to 20 seconds.

  5. Pass the Play Protect scan

    If Google Play Protect scans the file, wait for No harmful apps found. If it shows a warning, tap More details › Install anyway: it appears because the app was not downloaded from Google Play, not because of malware.

★Why Android asks

"Allow from this source" and Play Protect, explained in plain words

Android shows two prompts for any app that does not arrive through Google Play, and both are routine. The first, Allow from this source, simply lets your browser hand a downloaded file to the system installer; it is a per-app switch and you can turn it off again afterwards. The second, the Play Protect scan, checks the file signature against Google's database. The StarkBet APK is signed by the developer and typically passes with No harmful apps found.

StarkBet install errors and how to fix them

Every error we have seen in support chats, with the fix that works.

"App not installed"

An older or unofficial StarkBet build is already on the phone and its signature does not match. Uninstall it (Settings › Apps › StarkBet), then install the official APK from this page. If there is no old version, check free storage (need 150 MB+) and re-download the file; an interrupted download produces a corrupt APK.

"Blocked by Play Protect"

Tap More details, then Install anyway. Play Protect flags real-money gaming apps installed outside Google Play as a category, not as malware. You can also temporarily disable scanning in Play Store › Profile › Play Protect › Settings, then re-enable it after installing.

"There was a problem parsing the package"

The file is incomplete or your Android version is below 5.0. Delete the APK, download it again over a stable connection and retry. On Android 4.x the app cannot be installed; use the mobile website in Chrome instead.

"Install blocked" with no option to allow

A device administrator or parental-control profile is preventing installs. Company-managed phones often have this policy. Use a personal device, or play via the browser version.

The Install button is greyed out or does not respond

A screen-dimming, blue-light filter or floating-chat app is drawing over the installer, which Android blocks for security. Close overlays (Twilight, Blue Light Filter, messenger bubbles) and try again.

Installed, but the app is stuck on the loading screen

Usually a network filter. Turn off VPN or private DNS, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and give the app a moment on first launch to download lobby assets (30 to 50 MB). If it persists, clear the app's cache in Settings › Apps › StarkBet › Storage.

The app crashes when opening a live table

Update Android System WebView from Google Play (or from the manufacturer's store), free some RAM by closing background apps, and choose the low-bandwidth stream from the table's settings icon.

No push notifications

MIUI, ColorOS and FunTouch kill background apps aggressively. Lock StarkBet in the recent-apps view, disable battery optimisation for it (Settings › Battery › App battery management) and allow Autostart.

Installing StarkBet on iPhone and iPad

iOS does not use APK files and Apple does not list real-money gaming apps for India, so the Stark Bet install on iPhone is a Home Screen web app. Open StarkBet in Safari (Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot do this), tap the Share icon, pick Add to Home Screen and confirm. You get a StarkBet icon that launches full screen, keeps you logged in with Face ID, and updates itself. On iOS 16.4 and later it can also send push notifications once you allow them in the app settings.

What StarkBet asks for during installation

The installer lists just a handful of permissions: Internet access, network state, and notifications. Storage access appears only on Android 9 and older because the system needs it to read the APK. The StarkBet app never asks for contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, microphone or location. If an installer you downloaded elsewhere requests any of these, delete it: it is not the official Stark Bet app.

Updating an installed StarkBet app

You will see a banner in the lobby when a new build (currently 4.75b, 4 September 2026) is out. Tap it, download the APK and install over the top. Because both builds are signed by StarkBet dev, Android treats it as an update rather than a new app: sessions, favourites and notification settings survive. A full uninstall is only needed if you previously installed a build from another source.

Battery, data and performance settings worth changing

  • Exclude StarkBet from battery optimisation so live odds keep updating when the screen dims during a long over.
  • Enable "Data saver" inside the app (Profile › Settings) if you play on mobile data; it lowers live-video quality and pauses thumbnails.
  • Turn on biometric login in Profile › Security: faster than a password and safer on a shared phone.
  • Allow notifications for deposits and withdrawals only if you do not want promotional alerts.

Removing the app

Long-press the StarkBet icon and choose Uninstall, or use Settings › Apps. Removing the app does not close your account or affect your balance; everything lives on the server. Log in from any device to continue, or contact support if you want your account closed permanently (see responsible gaming tools).
